ELIGIBLE TO PLAY:

All badminton players who are eligible to play for BWF Member Associations.

 

TOURNAMENT SYSTEM: K.O. System

COURTS: 5 x YONEX

 

ENTRIES:

All entries must be confirmed by the National Association and must be done in order of strength.

CLOSING DATE: 7 September 2010

 

ENTRY FEE:

The Member Association that enters a player into a Circuit tournament is responsible for paying the entry fees for that player. There is no title to returning or remission of the entry fee in case of withdrawal from the tournament for any reason whatsoever.The entry fee shall be paid prior to the commencement of the tournament. The entry fee for each player must be paid prior to his first match at the latest. If the entry fee is not paid in time the player will not be allowed to start the match.However, the Organizer has the right to claim the entry fee from any players who withdraw from the tournament after submitting the entry form and before the deadline for paying the entry fee. The Organizer has the right to decline any entry form of players in case their entry fee from the previous years is not settled.

The draw will be carried out by Badminton Europe.

TRANSPORT:

Point of arrival : Transportation will be provided from airport in Brno, main railway station in Brno and bus terminal in Brno!

PRIZE MONEY: 15,000 USD

 

The Organizer shall pay the prize money cash during the closing ceremony. The prize money will be awarded only to those players who attend the closing ceremony.

 

ACCOMMODATION:

Must be ordered no later than 7 September 2010.

PAYMENTS:

All payments (accommodation, entry fee etc.) must be paid at accreditation cash (no credit cards accepted).

 

INSURANCE:

Insurance shall be arranged individually by each player. During the tournament a doctor will be present in the hall.

 

Shop and selling activities:

There will oficial Yonex Shop in the tournament hall and food shop Ing Petr Muller.  No other selling activities are allowed (including any sale of ticket for exhibitions, tournaments, league matches)

PARTNERS:

There will be betting on offer from this Event. Betting is however not allowed to be made by players or officials connected to the Event either in person or through a third party. Participants may therefore not make bets on the Event or procure through third parties the making of bets with a betting agency. Participants who, in violation of this prohibition, nevertheless make or procure through third parties the making of bets with betting agencies shall be immediately disqualified from participation in the Event and are liable for legal prosecution. Similarly manipulation of games will be met with disqualification and possible legal prosecution. Any violation mentioned above is also a breach of Player’s Code of Conduct (Art. 5.2.) and will be sanctioned by BWF.

 

FURTHER PROVISIONS:

The Yonex Czech International Championships should be played in accordance with the Laws of Badminton, the BWF Competition Regulations and the Instructions for the European Badminton Circuit 2008/2009. In case of a dispute the referee shall have a decisive word.

Each participant must be ready to play at the specific time. If not present, his match will be scratched. Therefore, the competitors should not leave the venue during the tournament unless allowed by the referee.

Players shall not plan their departure less than two (2) hours after their last match is planned to conclude. If a player/pair is unable to compete due to early departure, such a player/pair shall lose all the Circuit Ranking points gained at the particular tournament and BADMINTON EUROPE shall propose to BWF that the gained BWF ranking points are also removed. (Regulation 9.7 in Badminton Europe’s Circuit Instructions)”

Advertisements and allowed clothing modifications must comply to B.W.F. Rules, No. 19 to 23.

 

!!! PLEASE NOTICE THE FOLLOWING LIMITATIONS !!!

FINES FOR WITHDRAWING FROM THE European Badminton Circuit TOURNAMENT:

”If a player who is accepted into a tournament, withdraws from the entire competition for any reason whatsoever within 7 (seven) days before the first scheduled match of the tournament, the Member Association entering the player shall make a payment of EURO 100. – to Badminton Europe.

After entering a player(s) in the tournaments it is the Member Nation’s responsibility to secure visas for their players – if this is needed. Make sure that visa applications are made early enough. The Tournaments Organisers will have to do everything possible to enable the entered players to get a visa.“
